Dr Gianluca Coppola is an Associate Professor of Neurology, Scientific Fellow at the Department of Neurophysiology of Vision and Neurophthalmology, “G.B. Bietti” Foundation – IRCCS, Rome, and Researcher, at the Department of Medico-Surgical Sciences and Biotechnologies, “Sapienza” University of Rome, Polo Pontino – I.C.O.T., Latina, Italy.
Dr Coppola has published widely (80+ peer reviewed) and presented (nationally and internationally on numerous (100+) occasions) in the area of neurophysiology of primary headache (particularly migraine), brain and plasticity, and pain. His research has involved Evoked Potentials (somatosensory, visual, auditory), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Electromyography.
Dr Coppola’s eminence in the headache and migraine research area has led to editorial positions on Boards of many journals including ISRN Pain, Journal of Headache and Pain, BioMed Research International, Frontiers Neurology, and BMC Neurology.
It is indeed a privilege to have a researcher of Dr Coppola’s standing (Personal H index of 18) present: ‘Current Neurological Perspectives on Supra-spinal Mechanisms in Migraine’.
