Dr Simone Scaglioni is a self-employed Physical Therapist specializing in Manual Therapy. Simone commenced his career graduating as Rehabilitation Therapist the School for Rehabilitation Therapists, Varese (Italy), in 1994. Since, he has gained his qualification in Physiotherapy from Insubria University (Italy) in 2004, Master in Neuromusculoskeletal Disorder Treatment, Genova University, Savona (Italy), 2012 and a Doctorate of Manual Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute, Salt Lake City (Utah) in 2014.
Simone is a passionate and prolific teacher; “The reason I’m a trainer is because the worst competition comes from incompetent physiotherapists. By training good physiotherapists, I want to spread the message that physiotherapy exists and is effective.” Currently, he teaches undergraduate physiotherapy courses focusing on specific areas (upper limb, shoulder, lower limb, knee, foot, manual and neurodynamic therapy, rehabilitation training) at Italian and foreign universities (Insubria, Varese and Semmelweis Universities), as well as Masters courses in Manual Therapy and Therapeutic Exercise (Bologna and Padova Universities).
In addition, for over 15 years Simone has been presenting and organizing post-doc courses for healthcare professionals – dentists, medical doctors and physical therapists ultimately founding ManualMente – Formazione in Movimento. Simone has also presented at numerous conferences, translated many postgraduate courses and published two book chapters.
