Dr Romeo has completed Masters programs of ‘Science in Rehabilitation Sciences of Health Professions’ (University of Florence) and in ‘Rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders’ (University of Savona). In keeping with his musculoskeletal focus Antonio has also undertaken numerous musculoskeletal postgraduate courses.
Dr Romeo was granted an adjunct professorship of Masters programs ‘Manual Therapy and Rehabilitation of Musculoskeletal Disorders’ (University of Padua) in 2005 and ‘Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy- Manual Therapy and Exercise Therapeutic’ (University of Bologna), 2016.
He has also taught ‘Clinical diagnosis and Manual Therapy’ (Laslett-Van Wjimen) in Italy, Denmark and Switzerland with Paula van Wijmen. Antonio continues to teach musculoskeletal physiotherapy in other public and private institutions. In addition, he has presented at numerous national and international scientific conferences and congresses.
Antonio has published nationally and internationally in scientific peer-reviewed journals; his areas of clinical, didactic and research specialization are musculoskeletal physiotherapy concerning the cervical-cranio-mandibular complex and the lumbo-pelvic-femoral complex. He is currently investigating the ‘Effectiveness of physical therapy for myogenic temporomandibular disorders" project. A randomized controlled trial’ at the Department of Biological and Neuromotor Sciences (University of Bologna).
